Baobab Spring-Summer 2019
The Spring-Summer 2019 MODERNISTA collections are an ode to exceptional materials and techniques. MODERNISTA will be the overarching theme for the Spring-Summer 2019 limited edition collections in order to highlight the artisans expertise in the exceptional pieces they make. Glass, raffia and ceramics will be this seasons primary materials, in three colors that make up a sophisticated collection that can be mixed and matched in a modern decorative way.
MODERNISTA VIDRE
Hand-blown glass by master artisans becomes subtly deconstructed with details of distorted and troubling nature. Questioned form lies at the heart of this trilogy, surrealistically named Dream, Poetry, and Reality. A subtle ode to Salvador Dali and Andre Breton that takes us to the literary spheres of dream interpretations and poetry.
MODERNISTA RAFFIA
The raffia collection is crocheted by a Malagasy women’s cooperative. The raffia that adorns is hand-dyed with natural pigments. Simultaneously flamboyant and elegant, the candles suit the most urban of interiors and become the most sophisticated decorative objects.
Spring-Summer collections are available in limited quantities through selected shops in the Baltic countries and Finland.
