11 May – 12 June 2021
Amini Showroom, via Borgogna 7, Milan
On display at the Amini showroom in Milan, a selection of handmade rugs weaved using traditional techniques. Protagonists of the exhibition, pure materials, untreated, and sustainable: such as alpaca wool, linen, and jute.
These will be accompanied by a selection of Amini rugs that evoke the theme of nature in an original and creative way. The Jean collection, designed by Juma, a series of carpets inspired by earth and its natural elements, in which graphic, organic shapes spring through wool and jute yarns, woven with the ancient Sumak technique. Il Volo, designed by Fede Cheti, a carpet animated by playful variations of the pile and its materials: jute and New Zealand wool.
The installation is enriched with a fine selection of artworks inspired by the theme of nature, contribute of different artists. Sculptures and objects made with natural and primitive materials such as clay and stone, wood, and intertwined branches, and photography, with an exhibition of images where the body and the carpet meet, in the exploration of the ancient relationship that unites them.
